Why has the clinic decided to change to mix-billing?
The Federal Government's funding for bulk-billed visits has failed to keep up with inflation and rising interest rates. At the same time, operational costs and tax burdens for practices have surged significantly. Due to insufficient increases in Medicare funding by the Government, your treatment costs are no longer fully covered. As a result, we can no longer offer bulk billing to all patients in order to maintain high-quality, safe, expert, and convenient care.

We have carefully considered this decision, recognizing that paying may pose challenges for some. The additional funds from mixed billing will enable us to implement new initiatives aimed at reducing wait times and enhancing the quality of care. We highly appreciate your cooperation and continued support during this transition period.

Blood test results generally could be followed up after 3 working days from the date of taking the blood. Doctor will arrange to book to discuss the results if it is urgent. If the results are normal, you will be informed off " no further appointments are required, or you will not be informed. However, you can still visit and follow up for a normal results non urgently if you intend to. We advise you to follow up the results after 3 working days of taking the blood sample however.
